1. About these terms

By using this site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Nacarea is currently run as an independent, unincorporated project, and is the seller for all orders placed through this site.

2. Products

Every piece is genuine mother-of-pearl (nácar), hand-sawn and hand-finished. Because it's a natural material, tone, grain, and curve vary piece to piece — the piece you receive won't be pixel-identical to the photo, and that's expected, not a defect.

3. Prices

All prices are shown in euros (€) and may change at any time; the price confirmed with you at the time of your order is the price you'll pay. Prices shown on this site don't automatically include shipping.

4. How ordering works

This site doesn't take payment directly. When you submit an order, you're sending a request — our studio will contact you by email or phone to confirm the final details and arrange payment before we begin cutting your piece. Nothing is charged automatically.

5. Shipping

Once payment is confirmed, made-to-order pieces are typically cut, finished, and shipped within about a week. You'll receive a tracking code once your piece is on its way.

6. No returns — pieces are made to order

Every Nacarea piece is made to order once you confirm payment, cut and finished specifically for you. Under EU consumer law, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized — which is how all of our pieces are cut. Once a piece has been cut, the order is final and cannot be returned or exchanged for a change of mind.

If you'd like to cancel, contact [email protected] as soon as possible — if cutting hasn't started yet, we're happy to cancel and refund your order in full.

7. Manufacturing defects

If your piece arrives with a manufacturing defect, contact us at [email protected] within 14 days of delivery and we'll repair, replace, or refund it. This guarantee covers genuine defects only, not change of mind.

8. Intellectual property

The designs, photography, text, and the Nacarea name and logo on this site belong to Nacarea and may not be reproduced without permission. Custom pieces you commission remain subject to this: we may photograph and feature them in our own marketing unless you ask us not to.

9. Limitation of liability

We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this site or a delayed order, beyond what's required by applicable law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be handled under Spanish law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your own country of residence.
